Institute for Economics & Peace and Libyan Peace Institute Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Peace-building in Libya
Geneva, Swizerland – February 21, 2025 – The Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), a leading global think tank dedicated to shifting the world’s focus towards peace, and the Libyan Peace Institute (LPI), an independent institution focused on peace-building and reconciliation in Libya, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU establishes a cooperative framework for the two organizations to collaborate on initiatives aimed at fostering peace, reconciliation, and conflict management in Libya. The partnership will leverage IEP’s expertise in developing global and national indices, analyzing the economic cost of violence, and understanding Positive Peace, alongside LPI’s deep understanding of the Libyan context and its focus on local peacebuilding efforts.
