ABOUT LPI
The Libyan Peace Institute is an independent institution based in Tripoli, Libya, focusing on research studies related to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and conflict management.
This establishment responds to a critical need for a dedicated institution capable of driving forward reconciliation efforts with the following objectives:

Independent & Expert Guidance: Designed to serve as a hub for local and international expertise, the Institute is intended to provide informed guidance for shaping the design and implementation of Libya's national dialogue, ensuring impartiality, best practices, and the inclusion of diverse perspectives.

Coordination of Reconciliation Efforts: It aims to act as the primary platform for uniting international and domestic initiatives, ensuring that community reconciliation efforts, particularly those spearheaded by the United Nations, work toward a shared, Libyan-driven vision.

Integrated Approach Across Critical Tracks: The Institute seeks to ensure a coordinated approach between the political, security, economic, and justice tracks, making sure that all strategies align with Libya’s specific realities and priorities.

Ensuring Inclusivity and Libyan Ownership: Built to prioritize Libyan leadership and inclusivity, the Institute is meant to ensure that reconciliation efforts are rooted in Libyan realities, reflecting the diversity and aspirations of communities across the country

Dr. Abdalla Hamed
President
Dr. Abdalla Hamed is a peacebuilding and reconciliation expert. He has an extensive experience in government, consulting, and international development has equipped him with a deep understanding of Libya's complex political and economic landscape.
His expertise extends beyond reconciliation, encompassing financial services, economic development, e-commerce, and management information systems.

Dr.Abuagila Saifal Naser
Legal Dep. Manager
Dr. Abu Agila is an expert in international Law and Human international Law. with extinsive experince in commercail Law and proberty registery.
His experince as lawyer and public notary since 1997, and his involvement in the political dialogues has given him a deep understanding of the Libyan conflicts and needed solutions

Miss Najwa Wheba
Media File Manager
Najwa is a journalsit and media specialist with experince in Aljazeera channel and many otehrs.
She has a master degree in conflict resolution from Qatar Institute and works as a Presdential Council spokwomen,

Medhat
Ghadamsi
Programs Dep. Manager
Medhat El Ghdamsi is an Organizational Development Consultant with over 30 years of professional experience in senior managerial positions responsible for wider public sector reform (public administration, localities framework development, anti-corruption, socioeconomic policies, PFM) and in-depth knowledge of Libya’s public institutions (political, economic, administrative) and private sector.
He also has extensive experience with international technical assistance coordination & cooperation programs (IMF, WB, UNODC, DAI, ILD, FSE) .

Odai
Ben Jraid
Facilitation File Manager
Oudai is a highly motivated Law graduate with a strong foundation in international law human rights, and conflict resolution.
His keen interest in peacebuilding and development is complemented by practical experience in mediation and coordination roles with international organizations, including the Danish Refugee Council. Additionally, his work in law firms has equipped him with valuable skills in mediation and facilitation, making him a well-rounded professional in the field.

Abdulrahman Elgheriani
Cooperation Dep. Manager
Abdulrahman has an extensive experience in the private, governmental and non-governmental sectors. He is the founder of 360 Tanmia a Libyan NGO, in addition to that he has experience working with international agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme, the African Development Bank, and the World Bank Group. He has a BSBA in Accounting and Finance from the American University of Sharjah and a Master of Public Administration (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham.
